Anyway, the petition is now top spot on the petitions homepage with just under 35k signitories at the moment:

Sky News now have this as their second to top headline in politics. The telegraph, times, dailymail, politics.co.uk, and the Scotsman have now run stories on this, giving it even more exposure.
Gordon yesterday suffered a blow to his authority with the Gurkha issue. Today, he's likely to suffer another blow to his authority about the expenses issue, voting around 6ish tonight.
On the labour home website, there is talk of a leadership contest if Brown looses again today. http://www.labourhome.org/
So, are we near Gordon being challenged for his position again? Thoughts?
How many times is this ridiculous petition going to be posted on here :rotfl:'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. The level of political maturity on this forum is kindergartenish.
If Brown resigned, there would NOT be an election. Was there an election when Blair resigned? No, so what makes you think there would be one now.
This is what would happen. The universally despised Brown resigns. A Labour leadership battle starts and someone like Miliband or Harman wins in. Miliband would appeal to a much wider electorate than Brown. Harman would be popular too, but not to the same degree.
Either would become PM for a year, not nearly enough time for the 'honeymoon' effect to wear off. It is conceivable that they might even win the election next May.
Ergo . . we need Brown to stay in place, so that not only him, but his entire rabble, will be kicked out in May 2010.0 -
Since when has GB EVER listened to the populace? But a petition will make him go? Sorry but I live in reality where I know GB will have to be dragged kicking from No. 10.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife
