I used to have it, had it for over ten years in fact, but I stopped it long before I tried to get pregnant. It took about a year for my periods to come back and settle down though.

I stopped in Feb 07 and got pregnant in June 08.

I'm sure if you do a search you'll find there is already a thread on this subject (I seem to recall answering the question before~)

3 years, but there were other factors affecting my fertility. It took 12 months for my periods to return.

I’m on the depo jag and was thinking a lot about this recently. I’m getting married in October and whilst we won’t be trying for children immediately after, I want to be able to give myself the best chance of falling pregnant quickly when the time is right. I mentioned this to my doctor when I last went to get it and asked if it might be better for me to switch back on to the pill. He said that because there are more hormones in the pill that it would take longer than depo for my body to go back to normal and that it was best for me to stay on depo. Now, I realise he is a qualified doctor with many many years experience, however having recently read lots of articles about the depo jag I just can’t believe this to be correct.

I’m 25 and have been using the depo jag for five years. My periods stopped immediately and I have not had one since. I did during this time have a four month break from the injection and my periods didn’t return within this time.

Any thoughts or advice would be much appreciated.
