D600 - better specs AND a lot less problems with it. The first 2 batches of 6111's we had in all needed to be reflashed cause of various software problems.

the D600 is a superior phone in terms of functionality and looks more businessy. The 6100 is for nokia menu lovers and those who put battery life above all things. D600 has a lot more memory.

My girlfriend took the 6111 and I took the D600. They aren't THAT different, you wont be disappointed with either phone.

I'd got my options for either D600 OR V3i, still can't decide.

But as http://www.thelink.co.uk have 12months 1/2 price on O2 on V3i, it might just persuede me.

Is it true that the D600 can't text apostrophes? Ask as am looking for new phone now and need to send texts in french which is impossible language without the 's.

I can text apostrophies on my D600.
  • I have a D600 & my son has a 6111. IMHO there's little to choose between them. The 6111 has voice dialling which the D600 does not (major drawback if you drive a lot and use bluetooth) but the D600 has a better camera and is also quad band (O2 ones seem to be anyway).

My son loves the 6111 I think the D600 is OK but then to me its just a phone.

I had the samsung d500 and was desperate to go back to nokia, a few things i disliked about d500 are - delivery reciepts count as texts message starage wise there isnt a diff folder for them to go into which is a pain, also the predictive text doesnt seem to stay on sometimes it does but then you start a new text and its switched itself off which i found very frustrating, also samsungs vibrate then ring i know there are some ringtones that vibrate the whole way through but they tend to be rubbish and i dont think it has been susses how to put vibration into mp3s - just my opinion of the d500 which is very similar to the d600 my vote would be nokia 6111 and for some reason my 6111 has better battey life than others, i am getting 6 days with swiched off at night.
The more i save the more i can spend:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
  • the build quality on the samsungs is not upto the standard of nokias.
i'm tempted to get a 6111, but i cant really find a cheap one at the mo :(

I beg to differ. Don't get me wrong I think Nokias are better overall but the D600 build quality and feel is better than the 6111. I've had a 6100, sold my D500 upgrade brand new on ebay last year and decided to keep my new phone, the D600 this time. Its a hard move moving away from a Nokia interface which is great but you can not fault the build quality of the D600.
