End of Orange contract

We are coming to the end of an 18 months Orange contract. We don't use the mobile very often and would prefer to either cancel it or change to pay as you go. We need to keep to Orange because of better coverage where we live. We don't really want the expense of a new phone.
Has anybody had problems with changing to pay as you go on Orange or has any advice on this matter?

I believe they can just change your sim card from contract to pay as you go. Retentions will likely want to convince you to stay with your contract though.
Are you certain that pay as you go is the best option for you financially? How much do you use your phone in terms of average calls/texts? Retentions can often give decent deals for £10 a month if you push them hard enough. Would you be spending under that on pay as you go?"MIND IF I USE YOUR PHONE? IF WORD GETS OUT THATI'M MISSING FIVE HUNDRED GIRLS WILL KILL THEMSELVES."0 -
My contract ends with orange on the 18th May and Im unsure what to do. I have been with them for 11 years.
Poor singal, where I now live, but I have a tied in email address, which I have used for 11 years. So unsure what to do. Also free BB which I can use.
Let me know what they offer you, might be of interest for me to use with them.0 -
You can just request a payg sim at the end of your contract.
Just remember, your contract doesn't end unitl you register the new sim, your contract will continue til you do...0
