Fonebank, Lost or Stolen My Phone?? Fonebank.com

The second time I have had to contact fonebank regarding the sony ericcson k850i phone that I sent to them. It has now been well over two weeks and they still claim to have not received the phone. I find this very hard to believe.
The phone has been sent to their freepost address, but I did as they said to and collected a posting certificate when it was posted.
Disgrace though that they have lost my phone.
Has this not happened to anyone else?

Now I am going to have to try to claim this back from royal mail, even tho I'm certain they will have not lost the package containing the phone.

Have you tried online royal mail tracking with the reference you should have?0
-
the problem you have here is im assuming you didnt pay ot add any tracking?
this is for your benifit
also be aware that you will at best be getting £39 compensation0 -
I take it you didn't send Special Delivery then? You'll probably just get a book of stamps as compensation as they will claim you should have sent it SD as valued over £390
-
Thats great then. I used the freepost address as they only offered me £19 for the phone. Plus I use lots of stamps, £19 compensation worth in stamps would be fine.
Don't forget the recession were in, EVERY PENNY COUNTS0 -
Just say it was worth more, you should get around £300

I used to work for Fonebak (running the cashback schemes). I can assure you they won't have stolen your phone. Using the freepost address can take a few weeks as they are re-directed to the warehouse from that address. If you got proof of postage you should be able to claim from them rather than the post office and should get the full amount owed for your handset.
Call them again and tell them you are happy to post/fax/email them a copy of your postage certificate. I'm sorry this has happened to you but it does happen now and again but was sorted out really quickly when i worked there.Last bet : 26th Oct 2006:j Debt free 25th Feb 2008:j Living "my" dream:T0 -
I sent 4 mobile phones off to Fonebank on the 17th July for the value of £103, got an email off them on the 25th July saying that they hadnt received them yet. I sent a reply off saying that they had been signed for on the 20th as they went Special Delivery, got an email back saying I mustnt have put the order number on it as they couldnt find it. Sent another email back saying the order number was clearly marked on the box with a copy of the order confirmation on the inside.
Now have had an email back saying that they have found it but one of the phones is missing from the box. Surprise surprise it the one worth £70.00. I have emailed again but so far had no reply!!!!:mad:0 -
How do you know they received it in the first place?0
