Moving day today!

Options
Hi guys long time no posting but its moving day for me and i cant wait.

I am a 23 year old FTB, been saving for 6 years for a deposit since starting work. I was a bit worried about buying now in this current climate but glad i made the decision to buy now after seeing the house all finished yesterday.

Im buying the house on a new development of 60 houses. 4 bedroomed detatched, garage, en suite, utility room, big garden at the back, double drive. Yes i didnt need a 4 bedroomed house as there is only me and the gf but this means i wont have to move from this house if i dont want to for the rest of my life!

House was originally put up for 193,000 in march 2008, which alot of people have bought at that price!!! when i went to see the development in january they had 4 houses left on the first phase and they dropped the prices to 143,000. Went in for an offer of 120,000 and settled at 124,500 which im happy with.

Cant wait to start my house moving today and thank you everyone for educating me on this site with out me going into this blindfolded!

Thanks!

    Good luck and well done.

Home ownership is very very satisfying and gives more freedom of movement should you ever need to relocate.

Anyway what on earth are you doing today on MSE have you nothing better to do;)

Brilliant! Last time I moved I was eight and a half months pregnant (2 wks to go!) so I didn't have to do anything either!

Congratulations on your new home. That's an amazing price for what you're getting, can I ask what area you are moving to?

I think it was a wise decision to move to a big house, you will grow into it! I'm moving to a big house at the end of July hopefully (survey today!).
