I took 4 weeks before my due date last time and it flew by! - probably more to do with the fact that for 2 of those weeks I had all my family home too coz it was Christmas :D (and unlike most 1st timers Chris wasn't overdue)

My DD is called Yael. It is a standard name in Israel (when DH is from) but here people just say " y'what luv? " when she tells them her name. We were on an aeroplane in March I let her roam up and down the aisle looking for people to talk to (or annoy!) and I suddenly heard her say "My name is Yael, Yael, Ya-el, y-a-e-l (spelling it out) , YA-EL Apple" and getting really frustrated that this person did not get it!!! Poor child!
  • I like Yael - we looked at Jael too which I think has the same origin?

Nope. It is Ya-el. Ya (short as in Yankee) - el (as in McPherson). Jael (said Jay-elle I think) is from the same origin.

  • I assumed Jael was pronounced the same as Yael given the Hebrew origin but I may be wrong. DH said no anyway so it didn't matter! Hopefully no-one can get Elsa wrong!

I think I'd have been rather bored if it wasn't for what was going on :D
I got all my present shopping done and wrapped, last minute baby shopping and we we're still living separately so I was decorating our house frantically then it was actual Christmas so lots of eating and visiting etc I was just starting to get a bit bored when labour started! :T Clever boy!
