Thanks MM, I worked for a bank for a few years so I'm ok with the actual mortgage. I waited until rates hit their lowest so I'm happy with our timing. We fixed for 10yrs at such a better rate that we borrowed money for our extension over the same time at an extra £15 a month. Headache comes from people who can't get their job right and give the wrong information, all you get is a sorry and nothing they can do about it! It seems to happen too much these days. I spent my days on CS desk sorting peoples problems and would always do my upmost to help, I hated sales and was always in trouble but had a file full of thank-you letters from customers and was kept in choccie biscuits with my regulars. Well at least if we have fixed for 10yrs we won't do this again for a while.

Been that way for 4 weeks now, every time I eat I have to go to the toilet within the next hour!
