Has she ever met her bio dad, or is that so never going to happen ??

I only ask as my nephew has recently started asking about his dad. He has never met him, but has met his uncle (although he doesnt know it was his uncle). My SIL has told him that she knows where he is, but untill he is a bit older, she isnt going to let him contact him.

he sperm donnor is a A hole to say the least ... we (me and OH although it was killing OH) tried setting something up for him to meet zoe (never as dad as that would confuse her) but he had to own up to his family about a few truths but he was too much of a chicken poo to do so so the last i heard from him i gave him a chance you do it properly own up and be in her life now or never basically ... i got a text 3 days later saying "i cant do it philip is her dad i could never be take care of zoe for me bye" ....
zoes started to question her skin colour she asked did we think she would be the same as daddy poor OH didnt know what to say we'll explain when shes old enough to understand ...
the thing is i dont know how my real father is but both the guys (mother was cheating on one with her best friends husband o and yes i know i should be on eastenders ) so i can always say to zoe i did the right thing and tried ... its a hard topic but you gotta do what you feel is right x

Only just managed to have a quick look through as I have been trying to get the nursery sorted this weekend. Beanies cot has just been put up and I feel all gooey inside now. We were going to get the one from ikea but when we factored in the cost of the mattress, teething rails and the faff of going to get it or cost of it being delivered, we decided to go for this one instead as it comes with everything we need:

It looks fantastic and feels substantial (even with my DIY skills). Also it has that lovely pine smell. We have put it up so that beanie will be close to the top, although it does have a drop side too.


I think Elle mentioned scratch mitts earlier. I only got these ones. They are out of stock online but I think I have seen them in store too:

I had my 34 week MW appointment on friday and I am measuring 34 weeks. Beanie is 3/5ths engaged (so 2/5 of head in pelvis) and everything is on track.

BIG congrats to shellsuit. Seems like you took it all in your stride!

And you really should write a book of your life, it would be a best seller !!
