sorry just wondered off to catch up on the mummy thread and post my latest Chris related problems :(

Tia - sorry I know you aren't a lazy mummy, your boys are special exceptions to the rule :D

Tara - I NEED a homemade scone with clotted cream and jam now!!! My mum's friend is a proper old fashioned home cook and makes the most fabulous scones, wish she was here to make me some!

Searching - I can't stand cooked apples _pale_ they look like snot and taste funny :p which is why OH get the tinned stuff.
some cheffy bloke made a scrummy looking blueberry crumbly thing this morning on Something For the Weekend which I was very tempted by though! he cooked the topping and fruit in a frying pan (2 separate pans) makes it seem like much less faff than putting in the oven!
The very best is sometimes what nature gives us for free.

Sami, when I make a crumble I don't pre-cook the apples, just slice them and sprinkle sugar on top. That way they still look the same when cooked, still in slices.
Too many children, too little time!!!

I can't cook, but I can bake! My Grandma taught me.. :D She taught me lots of scones and cake recipes so I make the scones and fruit cakes in the family now.

Only thing I do which I wasn't taught by Grandma was twinks hobnobs which, obviously, I got from MSE :) I passed on the recipe but Grandma say her's never seem as good as mine so she wants me to go round one day when I'm on mat leave and give her lessons!

My mum makes fab raspberry muffins.. trying to persuade her to make some tomorrow! ;)

I went for a shower after DH :D

Good job we checked his letter, we would have been going to the wrong hospital. Anyway, he's as prepared as he ever will be.

I need to cut my nails again, they are half as long as the nail bed! Although, I shaved my legs over a week ago and still no stubble, which is good for the summer :rotfl: Is it a girl thing?

Thanks Tia, that looks a really good website and I've just learnt a lot reading about the preventative measures.
