  • I didn't get charged for my youngest child last time I went to the pizza hut lunch time buffet - would normally be in a high chair but there weren't any left so waitress took that into account when charging. Before going I had wondered what happened with child prices if the kid didn't eat anywhere near what a larger child might eat.

Full marks to the waitress on that occasion and I have to say they generally are friendly and helpful if a bit overworked and at times finding it difficult to cope with the large number of people coming in the door for these buffets.

I find the Pizza Hut buffet a good deal and handy when you have kids that don't like waiting for food!

Far better now the offer has been extended to weekends. We went a few months ago on a Sat and there was a big billboard outside advertising the buffet. When we went in they said "Oh - it's not available at weekends!"

Didn't see them rushing out to move the misleading billboard.

If you can eat tons of pizza with no salad this isn't a bad deal. The atmosphere's always good at our local Pizza Hut. Of course pizza is always overpriced but who can be bothered to make their own? If you are tempted I'd recommend using a bread dough packet mix for a lovely tasting base and top with whatever you want. On the other hand our latest trick when the kids say "we really NEED pizza - NOW!" is to nip down the Tesco Express, buy whichever are on BOGOF and feed us all for under £6. There is usually some sort of offer running and it only takes 15-20 minutes if you put the oven on before you go. Happy eating!!!

they wont let you do this on the buffet deal.. if you dont eat it there you dont get to take it home otherwise loads of people would be filling there plate up and asking for a takeaway box

I asked, and they gave me a box. They were shocked because I had the nerve...

Anyway I havent asked again :P

personally i think it is absolutely fantastic, yes you might spend more than 3.99 ordering extras but you arent forced to, thats entirely up to you if you want it to be more expensive!

I think you have to be sat down by 2.30. Although the buffet runs on past 2.30.

I'm not a big fan of fast food but would rather occasionally take my children for a cheap pizza hut meal than to a McDonalds etc. My children have always drunk tap water with their meals, so no extra expence their, although I would also buy a salad to share.

This sort of deal is well worth keeping an eye on if you holiday in UK & is still going in July/Aug as a cheap holiday treat for the children.
  • Well I went to my local Pizza hut last Saturday at the Trafford Centre in Manchester and was told that they don't do the buffet on a Saturday. Now I've looked on the web etc and the only exceptions as far as I can see are some London branches.

Therefore I'm going to write to Pizza Hut to ask them what their policy is. Not hoping for much but maybe I'll get some money off my next visit for my inconvenience! ;-)
