now if you look under the tab "o2 customers" and look at the paragraph under the system requirements it states that you can have the 3G for free on the £35, £45 and £75 tariffs on a minimun term contract then goes on to say the minimum term is 18 month.
am I reading this page wrong are is this false advertising??? and what would you do about it?
I read it the same as you - they say it is free on a minimum term contract, then say the minimum term is 18 months. However, they probably have disclaimers to get out of errors like this, and it sounds like they won't give you the phone free on an 18-month contract, so not much you can do, except put in a complaint to the ASA, but that won't get you the phone....
This sort of thing goes on all the time - just the other day I was currys website and there was a link saying "Sky HD box £29 with new HDTV", so I clicked on it and there was a picture of a Sky HD box and a little circle with £29 in it, yet the page stated "Sky HD only £49 with HDTV"?!
That's not the first time I've seen stuff like either but what can you do? Apart from complain to the ASA obviously...0 -

Should work out cheaper, because you've made a saving on the contract, and it won't be 24 months!
Hi paperclip4201 thank you for this info will the sim that comes with the blackberry work the same as an Iphone sim. I hope this makes sense as I would reall like an Iphone and this seems a cheaper way to get one. Thank you.0 -
I believe so. If you go to the O2 retentions thread they'll help you out, tell you which blackberry to get (refurbished bold i think).0

The problem is you are reading "minimum term contract" as the shortest length of contract on the website, whereas I suspect O2 mean a contract with a "minimum term" whatever that minimum term may be i.e. 18 OR 24 months. No reliance should be placed on the above.0 -
if you were to take out the £45 a month tariff and downgrade after 9 months, you would save approx. £9. by getting the 8gb free or the 16gb (choice of black or white) for £100 cheaper at £57.74
it's not much, but every little helpshelpful tips
it's spelt d-e-f-i-n-i-t-e-l-y
there - 'in or at that place'
their - 'owned by them'
they're - 'they are'
it's bought not brought (i just bought my chicken a suit from that new shop for £6.34)0
