Orange customer services - Help!
Options
I'm having a nightmare with Orange at the moment as I want to leave because I'm having all sorts of problems with my handset and what I'm paying is too much for what I'm getting. On top of that, I recently lost my boyfriend and when my phone got run over (with all the texts from him) I tried phoning to resolve both the handset problem and see if I could get hold of my texts from my old phone. Instead, the woman I spoke to was totally rude, dismissive and unhelpful about both things insisting that I send my current handset in. So, I gave up for the time being.
Now I want to leave, because I'm only 6 months into the contract, all Orange will say to me is that it's not within my rights and if I want to leave I'll have to pay £228 disconnection fee. That was just repeated over and over again. They won't even give me any compensation for the hurt and upset they caused me and I'm really p***sed off now because I've been a loyal customer for years and no trouble at all.
What can I do? Have I got a leg to stand on?
Thanks in advance, Tash

deja vu
You have to pay the termination fee to get out of the contract - its standard with all operators and standard for a contract.0 -
I afraid to say hotkee is right. If you want to end the contract early you have to pay the termination charge, there no way they'll wave it.
On the matter of your old phone, I take it you didn't have insurance with Orange ? Can you claim on your house policy ?
And on the text's the network has no way to resent old texts back to you, sorry.0 -
