Perhaps someone else is topping it up, having made a mistake about the number - I believe it is possible to add credit to someone else's phone
But you'd expect them to have made queries to Orange about it, and then realised0 -
i thought that but its gone on for years now.
what would you do Redux??
i have come to the conclusion that a company is paying for it- maybe they had a block of company sim cards?0 -
I don't know. Do the recharges seem to happen at regular intervals, or is it automatic at a low credit level? Even then, if the auto-recharge was from a credit card, it should have passed an expiry date by now0

Could be a company, like you say.
Could also be a provisioning error on the system.
If you call CS I'm sure they can stop it doing that for you
.
I've seen similar odd things on some of the payg acc's that hit my systems from time to time. . .0 -
If it was an individual, they would've cottoned on long ago that they were topping it up and not seeing any money on their own account. I wouldn't worry about it. If it was anyone that would notice the money going missing, then it would've stopped. So chances are, it is a glitch and you are lucky.0

What do you mean when you say 'it goes mad when abroad!!' ?
That's the thing that make me think its a system error, I get quite a few 'odd' payg acc's flag up on the roaming side.0 -
Hi Jon 1
The first year i took it abroad i visited several countries - and each time it topped up-£40 ish per time-
Do you work for a phone company???
Redux
it never gets very low in credit- tops up seem to be trigged by high use or travel
feel a bit guilty but my luck has never been great so like this payback!!0 -
Hi Cath.
I've seen acc's where the credits not take off when roaming because the roaming network misreads the acc as a pay monthly. I've never seen one where it 'auto tops up' !
Does it always topup by the same amount ? and have you noticed if it tops up when you hit a certain amount left (ie it tops up by £40 whenever your credit gets to £5 ?).
Yes, I work for one of the networks but not on the frontline.0 -
