haraltremorian Is / are your default(s) still outstanding or just settled but still on your file?
Settled and on my CR until 2012.
Tried Barclaycard Initial last week and got dissed but sent them Appeal as my outgoings are pretty slim now compared to salary. Not holding my breath you understand!!!
I like companies that reward good account management. My general plan is work towards Barclaycard or Sygma in 6-12 months.
I wanna get a mortgage end of 2010/2011 though default falls off 2012 ;(Debt Free - 21st April 090 -
Yes Barclaycard certainly do reward good customers, but their definition of a "Good Customer" is very specific.
Last time I was with them they saw fit to decrease my APR from 25.9% (that was the "Initial" rate back then) to 9.9%, but also decrease my credit limit from £2,000 to £750 - which was a good thing though really because when I did max the card out it took me a year to get it down to under £750.
Keep trying for initial every six months (but no more frequently), it's a good card to get and one that you'll want to stick with long term even into being "Prime" againCashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

All is good. Just waiting impatiently with baited breath for the post man to bring me my sparkly new Barclaycard so I can bask in it's glory (And of course call CS to set up a DD for the full amount

Well I bet plumber2009 is chuffed getting his Simplicity back!
The account can't have been in too bad order, although you might find yourself with a higher APR now if it's previously been in arrears / APCashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48
