    yes mate

    to sum it up.
she had 6700 left to pay on a debt from over six years ago.
she was glady paying, with bad harassment.
    they went to far.
    you just saved her 6700
    cheers.
for all the people who want to moan about how she borrowed it an should pay etc etc,she payed from first day of default, for years.
the moral is.even if you are paying the only way to stop the harrasment is to cancell the debt.
in this case the dca are the ones who caused the debt to be cancelled.
greed and not unwillingness to pay.

forgot to say.they never sent back original agreement or terms, they wont find them.they cashed the £1.00 cheque though and used to pay account.that sums up dca scum and why alot of people go for unenforcebility and not because they just dont want to pay.

Ahhh yea, was statute barred wasn't it? So is it now confirmed - i.e. all stopped/CRA cleared the lot?

If so bloody well done mate  and if I did save her £6700 then send me an e-beer! :rotfl::rotfl:

LOL Older? Whatever gave you that impression. :p No, quite young infact... if you consider early 20's young.

I don't think I'm going to apply for another card - just yet. I'll give my credit file a break; get rid of some of those searches. I'll probably apply once I've closed my Kays account. :D

Never mate - early 20's? haha....... you sounded older, dunno - maybe its just me getting senile!!!! :rotfl:

Not the first time I've been told that! I over-matured during my teen years. :rotfl:

in what way about welcome? do you mean about getting a settlement amount off them

well the amount was around £2k when i tryed offering them £1.2k but they were having none of it so what i did was make a payment of £1.2k and just left the loan to run which the last payment comes out the end of this month so that free's up a extra £240 to go towards my cards to pay them off before i tackle paying off my other 2 loans

really need to clear my cards by xmas really

Got a credit limit increase from additions just on my second purchase
Although have made quite a few purchases and regular payments on my littlewoods account, don't know if that really helped

As my CIFAS flags have now been removed I re-applied for the Halifax Easycash account (I was declined last time) and I received a letter this morning informing me of my success. No more airline fees for me!

I spoke to a lovely lady at HSBC today as I applied for an overdraft of £50 yesterday which was decline online. I just explained to her that I have been with them for 8 months and use them for all my banking, yet they wont give me any sort of overdraft.

She checked the reason, and it was due to information from CRA. She said it's also a high application at £1000. I told her I asked for £50, she was as confused as I was. She put it through again, using the search information from yesterday, but for £50, however it still was declined.

She updated all my work information and just explained that I should go into branch, as they have 'more leway when it comes to applications' without saying anymore. She also said many searches look bad and I should wait a few months with no searches and try again.

She then had a bit of a chat about University and my job and totally random things before trying to sell me some life cover.

Was a nice lady, but she can keep her life cover. :D
