What can I apply for? Might as well rack up more searches. I've got about 30 now, so at some point I'm going to need to stop for 12 months to get rid of them all, so I might as well rack all of them up in one go then stop completely.
Just lay of the searches, build a establised credit profile ( 18 months min ) and then you will be on your way to mainstream.
Being only 18 has its draw backs as your credit file is thin.Bank Accounts - Barlcays Premier[/B] - £1000 o/d, HSBC - £200 o/d- First Direct - £500
Credit Cards - Barclaycard £2000 - Silver Card £1300 - Flybe £7500 - HSBC £1000 - First Direct £2500 First Direct Gold £3000
6 credit accounts closed in 2010!

Lack of credit history is the only thing that stops me from getting credit. 8 active accounts all reporting green 0's, however at most, they only have 6 green marks.
I know I need to lay off the searches... hmm0 -
