Hi All
Just a quick question.. How long does a default actually affect your credit rating.
I have a default on file that will drop off in March 2011. So in April 2011 will I be able to apply for "Excellent" rated credit cards, since by that stage all I would have is a current account and Halifax Classic card with a lovely string of zeroes going back as far as the eye could see?
Also, if I (fully) settle the defaulted account early, will this still remain on my credit file for another 6 years as a closed account (with default)?
Thanks in Advance
