I just noticed HSBC do a 'Gap Year' account. I'm not on a gap year before University in 2010. Is it worth ringing the Plus helpline and asking what this account gives me, or shall I just stick with Plus.

Anyone know anything about the HSBC Gap Year C/A?

I am ready to give up my Vanquis! I am going to clear whatever I have spent this month in full and of course wait until next month to see if there is any lingering charges and then it is off with it.

What is the process? Do I just phone them and say thanks but its over or is there another process I am not aware of?! I want it to show up on my file as settled & in good order.

p.s I will only have my flybe after this but with a pretty healthy limit - I would like to apply for another card with a better APR, would it better to do this before or after getting rid of my vanquis?

    TIA

    evening everyone,

can anyone tell me the easiest network to get a mobile from (except 3 - no reception)

Also is it easier via carphone warehouse or phones 4 u ?

The only networks to pass me currently are O2 (3 contracts) and orange (1 mobile broadband contract). Each time I approached the network directly online.

Most recently I got a new contract on O2 for the new iPhone 3GS. I initially applied through CPW as they were taking early pre orders but got declined. O2 direct opened orders on launch day and accepted me after a refer to trust and credit

I closed my over the phone and within a week they had marked my account on credit file as settled. I would ask for a letter for your records to say the account is closed and that there is zero balance.
