Apparently, my BS with HSBC makes me qualify for a CG card (as well as a overdraft, loan and cc), but they wont give me any of them due to my credit score. I could probably get a CG card if I asked for one, but not going to bother now.

If you qualify for a CGC I would get one sent. You never know when it may come in handy.

If you have some debt, and you've avoided it for years, obviously it will become statue barred after a certain amount of time.

If you contact the DCA asking for the credit agreements, would that "reset" the statue barred to another 6 years?

No it wouldn't though it's always best to include the words "I do not acknowledge any debt to your company" in big bold letters at the top of any letters to them

  • a small tip when dealing with anyone; check your spelling! It gains respect and most spellchecks are American! e.g. Their- possessive pronoun; there- denotes a position; they're- abbreviation of they are.
Your - possessive pronoun; you're - abbreviation of you are.
Receive, not recieve; i before e except after c.
UK education standards may be pathetic but try to make the debt agencies and banks think that you do at least have a good command of the English language.
If you're (not your) a product of comprehensive education ask a person over 50 to check the spelling in your letter!
