I've just spent the last 20 minutes writing an appeal letter out to BarclayCard. I've attached a 19 page copy of my Equifax Credit Report, 3 months paper-based statements, and 3 months downloaded e-statements from HSBC website. All together, it's around 40 pages. Looks like I'm sending them a book. :D

Will get it posted tomorrow. My last appeal letter I sent them took over 4 weeks to get a response which just said 'sod off!' :D

good luck with it.you can do my flybe one when im declined

They're a pain! While I'd like the Barclaycard to replace either my Aqua or Vanquis, I'm not too bothered if they say no. I've got 3 sub-prime cards at the moment and definitely don't want anymore, so if I get another card, one of the others must be canceled. Four credit cards is crippling at 18 and on a low income.

Don't forget payslips and copy statements of any credit accounts.. All in your favour.. Barclaycard keep changing the eligibility criteria which makes it harder to get one.
For example..a few months ago it was £3000 minimum income now it's £10000. Given your working part time do you meet the income requirement..if not it will probably be another decline which is unfair considering limits start as low as £250.
    Good luck though

I only have 1 payslip from my company. I started there in March and didn't get my first pay until April which came with a payslip a few days later. I haven't bothered to pickup my payslip for this month yet.

I don't actually meet the 10k at the moment. Just under, at around 9k including dla/salary/ema, however starting a full time job on 16th June, as well as the part time job I'm currently doing and DLA, I'd be on around 14k.

Be sure to include a covering letter stating your income, explaining that within weeks you will EXCEED the main income requirement.
May ask for more info but better than an underwriter declining immediately :T

I have outlined all of my current income and put what income I will be on in a few weeks time. It's a freepost address, but it's an a4 packet rather then a letter, so I'm not sure if they'll ask me to pay for it to be sent tomorrow?.

I was thinking tonight what account I should use and stick to for my main current account. I've got Lloyds TSB Classic (Downgraded from silver), HSBC Advance and Barclays Bank Account (If they accept my application I made last week). Everythings currently going in and out of Lloyds, but my wages are still going into HSBC as there is a 1 month wait to change bank accounts at my work, so my next pay will go into lloyds.

3 current accounts is a lot. I want to just keep one and use it, that way I can get a relationship going with the bank and they can see my income/outgoings, rather then switching bank every few months.... which one should I use?
