    Hi,

I applied for the Accessory Card a couple of weeks ago and just received a phone call to go through some security questions etc. They asked if i had signed and sent back my agreement yet, to which i said no as i havent received one. They are posting this again. Question is, does this sound as if i have been accepted or will they still do checks etc when the agreement is returned and maybe still decline??

I received my CCA on the 18th May - rang them to day as I wasn't sure if i'd been accepted or declined and they said the card had been posted and I should have it within 5-7 days

I'm thinking of applying to Barclays for a credit card, but don't want the embrassment of a decline. So don't know where to apply for the Barclaycard Initial or Barclaycard Classic.

Would it be better going into the bank to discuss it or just apply for the Classic online and if i get declined then apply for the Initial

Depending on your credit file I would imagine the initial will be easer to get, both have slightly different criteria.
Intial requires £10k per year, classic is £15k. With the classic they do not like more than 2 active accounts and certainly no missed payments in last 2-3 years.
Have heard varying reports on Intial, some got it with 'old adverse' others including myself were rejected.
Hope this helps a little :D

I only have a Next account and the Argos account, plus my Barclays current account.
1 late payment from last month when Argos balls'd up with my direct debit mandate!

    The rest are green '0's.

Might go for the Initial then.

    Thanx
