I applied with Lloyds last week. Got offered either a Classic or Silver account after they had done a credit check. I chose the Classis as it's free. No overdraft though. They said ring back in 3 months for an overdraft as they want to see some money go into the account.

I wonder if you'll get a cheque guarantee Effect.

I know, I want a HSBC Plus account or an Halifax Ultimate reward account.

I'm getting annoyed with Abbey's appalling customer service. Furthermore I want a multifunction card.

Is it better to use my high interest cards and pay in full each month? Does it look better for lenders? Got the 2 cards below as always use my works visa

I keep looking at Barclays Premier, £25 per month though which pus me off slightly.
Applied for Abbey myself last year, got accepted online then a few days later an E-mail to say, only basic account can be offered.
Rang them up to accept in hope of getting more brownie points on credit file, advisor assured me everything would be with me in 5 days, 8 months later I'm still waiting

That sums Abbey up. Totally and utterly hopeless.

Innocent has the Barclays Premier account, he loves it.
