I know what this is all about.....

Right lets assume you applied online on say Monday, you got offered a limit of £125 right?

Then you logged out and either visited again later that day or anytime after Monday and noticed your limit then showed as £100?

This is normal and happens after they review the credit data supplied by experian. So for instance they feel that £100 is enough for you. That won't change now - it will only increase. When I first applied I got the £125 limit, logged out and back in again and then it was gone - a £0 limit (i.e. account declined). So for it to go to £100 means that you deffo have been accepted.

    Hope this helps.....

I tried HSBC again last night. It's been referred!! I rang them today and they have done a credit check and it been passed to another department! (to get declined)

They haven't checked Equifax, I've just checked myself, I'll have to check Experian tomorrow as I've looked at my report already today.

    What do you think?

If you got a NOC it will be referred mate. I am waiting on decision for my CC still - a week later! Got told i'd know Tuesday so we'll see (I think he didn't want to say no to me so blagged me lol).....

I got declined 1st direct though - thats a certainty! Failed credit score!

In case I forgot to mention if you ever fail a credit score then do not wate your time appealing, it is fruitless because the credit score does not base anything around the credit file so if you don't qualify you simply don't qualify and you can't make that change unless you actually lie!

Anyway, suffice to say my £6400 CC with them is also dead in the water so !!!!!! em! lol - their loss cos i'd have maxed the blighter out in a week for them! (with BT's) lol

I have that removed last month!! I applied in February, perhaps I didn't leave long enough.

Well at least they never declined me. Yet.

I think you mean 'I HAD that removed last month' hahahaha sorry mate - had to do it!

If they decline you, go into branch with the letter and copies of existing statments and appeal with the personal advisor they may be able to push it through if they have enough to believe you're a decent young man! Well not so young, 27 - ya old sod!

How do you know First Direct declined you is it a hunch or do you now know?

This score thing is just boll*cks, IMO. I wouldn't lie on an application it isn't worth the hassle.
