I was in there the other day, as I had lost my phone and I wanted to speak to 3 to cancel my sim and phone.
Whilst Im in there on hold to 3, They asked if it was insured which it wasn't I refuse to pay £9.99 a month for a phone worth £100 max when I can insure my house and contents for £20 which is worth over 250k anyway, they ask how long I have left (7 months) and how much £35 pm, they said they would pay that and I could get a new phone and new contract!
How on earth does that company not loose money if they can offer cash like that. Im tempted to upgrade my phone be on a cheaper contract and they give me money to cover my old one!0 -
I got a contract today they also bought me out of my old contract0

you know how when you go to phones4u you get money back, or free gifts? well thats how they pay the contract off
my contract with them got me £200. They said they could buy my contract out after 9 months, essentially keeping my tarif as low as possible. however, when they buy the contract out, you do not get a good phone or any additional deals, this is because of the amount of money they spend on buying the remaning months. The longer the wait, the better deal you'll get.
also, if you're insured, they can buy the contract out for cheaper giving you a better deal
i personally thought it'd be better to wait 9 more months and go through retentions0 -
I got a good deal yesterday only had one month of my contract left and got £145, got the samsung tocco ultra and for £31 a month 800 minutes and unlimited texts0
