Sorry for being dumb....but do you note down the price of items you buy and then compare them with receipt?

I remember the prices XD I don't know why I just can remember them! Then again I only buy around 25-30 items at a time.

    Hi,

My dad bought these today (having not checked the price). They rang through as £1.31. They are showing as £1.31 online too. I presume they should be 31p as the 539g are 46p. However, I take it the only thing he can do is take them back for a refund as opposed to a DTD as the SEL probably states £1.31. Any ideas?

And it might be worth checking your local to see what the SEL says - could be a good DTD!!!

just been to tesco, they are 31p in my local

Mine too; they were still showing as £1.31 online this morning but that has now changed too - I should have got there earlier :(

SEL £1.00, Charged £1.50 - DTD £1 back after an attempt to give only the difference - CSA kept me waiting for ages too - there must have been 10 people queueing by the time she had finished - why do they do this over such small amounts? It's ridiculous

couple of days ago bought strawberries and double cream mistake thing. got dtd and cream free.
today in another tesco they wouldnt give me dtd just the difference. tried to explain for 20 minutes, he was having none of it. he said they changed the policy 6 months ago.
funny, just a couple of weeks ago i got £96 dtd for rimmel glitch in that tesco.

*Jaw on the floor* £96 in DTD?! Is there the story somewhere here?! Thanks.

you must have missed it then. it was rimmel instant tan, £6 each, scanning at £6 but SEL says 3 for £2. so for every 3 tans they should charge £2 but instead they charge £18, so overcharged by £16 for every 3 lots. i think i bought 18

Just realised that you can leave feedback about your shopping trip here:

    www.tescocomments.com

You don't have to leave your name or clubcard number if you don't want to.

Think I will be leaving feedback every time this happens now - whether it does any good I don't know but we can but try!

Don't shoot me down for sounding thick but did you buy 18 because you needed them & they happened to be a DTD item or did you go back and buy more? If you go back do you go to a different store or choose the same one and is there anyway of telling these items before you get to the till or is it a mixture of reading here and pot luck??

    Thankyou

I posted this earlier on a seperate thread as I could see this one so posting it here now so hopefully everyone will see it

Went to tesco today, all Aussie hair products are any 2 for £5, (SEL says any 2 for £5) I was charged £4.50 for 3 minute conditioner and £3.40 for shampoo (stop frizz stuff) was charged full price so £7.90 instead of £5.00 so overcharged by £2.90 DTD = £5.80 so they cost me £2.10 in total £1.05 each BARGAIN grab them quick
