just so you know, those microsoft office cards are useless in their current form. i got 7 of them this morning in port glasgow and got 9 of them taken off me in greenock. they scanned through both till and self service at 0p. the first store just gave them, the second one i went through self service but they would not register when i placed them in the bag, so the sales assistant came up and questioned the 0p and got the manager involved who spent 20mins on the phone then refused to sell them. until i found out what was going on.

anyway, the problem is that no one in the shop knows how to use these. they are similar to an itunes etc type top up card. the actual card has to be swiped through the card swipe at the till. at this point the card is activated and the £80 total comes up which is the price you should be getting charged. so they wont work, if you want to test it, try registering the pin number on the site.

your only option is, to take the proof of purchase barcode, that was printed on the bottom of the receipt, back to tesco and tell them it aint working and needs activated. see how you get on. tell them its their issue as they did not know how to work it at the time of purchase. i would remove the barcode from the rest of the receipt though and tell them you paid full price. but going in with 15 or what ever you have there, then you got no chance. so i hope you havent put these on ebay yet, if thats what you planned to do with them.

better say high aswell. long time reader of this thread. but this has given me an excuse to post. keep up the good work everybody.

My mate works in tesco she hasnt got any of the bargains but she said tomorrow night the 2 main shops are closed
for furthur price reductions so heads up for monday morning in ed@@nb@rgh
i left there and went to the main tesco and they have a notice up closed from 10pm for maintenance.
But the staff are in on over time for price reductions.
Heard one of the managers telling staff about reductions in the tv section but couldnt hear it all because my 51 year old oh was having a wee tantrum to himself just befor he walked out the shop lol

w1sh@w extra had a customer announcement when i was there this morning to say the store was closing at 10pm tomorrow night to make some kind of change.Wasnt really listening so dont know what the `change` is.
• a couple of people over at hukd have had success getting them activated by taking them in. i would say 2 would be the max, without raising much suspicion.

Didnt see any mention of anyone getting them activated on HUKD. Just mentioning that when they took them back they were asked to pay the full price lol.

Success today after a trip round 3 localish Mr T's. First DTD for ages - those stripy glasses that everyone else got ages ago so just catching up on these:T

Other than that - Babyliss Men i-trim stubble - sel £20, going through at £2.50. Philips F1 razor - sel £40, actual £10 something and Babyliss Pro 215 Ceramic (the ones with the barcode ending 255) £1.86. Happy days :D

Incase anyone is local to me, I couldn't find anything in K1rkcaldy but had success in Dunf3rmin3 and S0uth Qu33nsf3rry.
