Is that better? Sorry, not sure how that works.
  • I just went a flying visit to a small local Tesco, and I got some pineapples in pineapple jelly for my girls, this was 24p. The other flavours they had were 49p, worth looking out for :)

It's a blatant error on the website as it should be 2 x 5kg for £10.00, but it's worth checking in store tomorrow to see if the same error of 22 x 5kg of Kohinoor Gold Basmati Rice for £10.00 is printed on the SEL.

Haven't a clue where I would put 22 bags of rice if I found it though - could maybe give some to a local shelter...
  • Hi, what rice is it please?

Sorry for not replying sooner I've been out but not to Tesco!

Saw on another thread (but can't find it just at the moment) that Tesco web site had a typo on re 22 bags of rice for £10.
The SEL labels must be printed from that info then sent to stores - one of these labels was actually put on the self - even though the two shelves above had the correct label on ie: £7 each or 2 for £10.

It is the Kohinor Gold Basmati rice 5KG size.

    Dare you to do it!

I would but it would be pretty hard to explain an overcharge of £110 :rotfl:

I would, but I genuinely don't eat basmati rice!

Not sure it's my style, but if anyone dares I make it £100 to take them away... ;)

    £10 x 11 = £110 = £100 overcharge...
  • We were very tempted just to see the faces on CS but did we really want to be banned from Tesco, have to push 110Kgs across the car park & try to get it in a Smart car!
Come to think of it that could have been why were were buying the rice -
A charity challange to see how many bags of rice would fit in such a small car.

Happy chappy don't you use the bus to get about? these bags are 5kg each, so I think you will have to pass on this one. Even you, persistent though you are, could not get 110kg of rice on the bus!:rotfl:That's the weight of 2 small men I think or one big one!
