My first post in a long time after several months' absence and major broadband problems - almost didn't bother, because of the puerility of much recent 'discussion'.
Misprice contributions being thin on the ground, here's mine from yesterday:
BOGOF on large Soreen sliced fruit loaf[cheaper anyway than the smaller unsliced one].
SEL 84p and BOGOF, charged £1.19 each.
DTD £3.18, profit 80p and 2 Soreen loaves FREE.

Their double the difference policy is displayed behind the customer service desk in each store its near the bottom under 'if things don't add up.'

It simply states if you are charged more than the price on the shelf or the product you get double the difference.

It does not state that this does not apply to self scan tills.

I have had DTD on self scanning. It was a few months ago, so I do not know if the policy changed.

  • Just thought I'd help get this thread back on track!!!
Some Shoulders of lamb in Buckingham Tesco yesterday wasn't reduced to £2.49 p/k and still priced at £4.98p/k fairly obvious which weren't reduced as they're approx £11 each as opposed to the rest which were approx £5.50 each, good luck.

Spot on the difference between the £5 you paid and the £3.50 they were advertised at is £1.50. So DTD = £1.50 x 2 = £3. Welcome to the wonderful world of Tesco misprices

  • I bought 2 packs of duracell AA batteries from a shelf with £2.99 buy 1 get 1 free and was charged £3.49 buy1 get one free. I had spotted a couple of different lables at various points around the store so I double checked I had the correct product before buying them. As I expected they went through at £3.49 (bogof) I went to CS and took the very helpful CSadvisor to the shelf which had the cheaper label. She did remove the shelf label but as batteries are at so many points throughout most stores I'm sure there are more labels out there.

    DTD no problems

May the (duracell) force be with you :rotfl::rotfl:
