YAY, I got the RSC sets today for free!! Bought 2 with my cousin, and gave one to him....the CS lady was lovely and even offered DTD without me asking. =)

Hiya, catching up with some of your success stories, love hearing them so keep em coming!

Just wondering if the RSC pans were the ones with the red handles? These were the only ones in moy local marked at Was £40, Now £20, but scanned at £20 :( Have I got the wrong ones?

One thing I did notice was the barcode was different to what has been posted here, so maybe if I have got the right set, it's only certain barcodes?

    TIA
  • There were some Sabatier Knives with a block reduced from £50 to £25 last week. I noticed in one store that they had gone back up to £50, then found them in the Hindley store with the old £25 SEL on there. I bought a set and they scanned at £50 (which I paid) and went immediately to CS to get DTD. Not bad. A £50 knife set and block for Free.

The conversation with the trout was legendary. She wasn't having any of it, so I told her to get the manager and if that wasn't successful, I'd be calling head office. When the manager came, after 10 minutes of arguing, he told her to give me the £50. I then looked at her, pointed to my face and said, "If you've never seen it before - this is what's called "smug" "

There was about 8 boxes on the shelf but they removed the SEL. It's my first attempt at it, so I didn't go silly. I will next time. :)

Hopefully some of you can find some of the old £25 SELs still up.

Thanks for the info. I couldn't find any in my store but bought a Panasonic (2 phones) SEL £69.99 but was charged £99.99 so after DTD got them for £40!

The BT would have been much better but can't complain!

I very much doubt it! You can't beat the quality of Panasonic cordless phones!

I too was told this but the old BT freebie phones we had were much better than the Panasonic ones the Ex bought. Mind you the screen on one of the handsets was dodgy so I reckon there was an issue but he was too lazy to take them back. Got me some Siemens ones for £40 minus the golden DTD so £15 after a DM voucher for a triple set of phones.

Only got one little DTD today. Simoniz 3 pack of microfibre cloths (horrible horrible stuff but my 4 month old lifted them off the shelf!) in 2 places on the shelf. One label at £4, OoD label at £2. 2 packs for free. Mum very happy and if I can get over nasty feeling of these cloths on my rough hands maybe I'll do some window cleaning!

In my experience the customer service staff have been more than polite and willing to offer DTD without me having to question. But maybe because I take the polite and smiley approach.

yes the 2 recent cs staff I have encountered with DTD have been lovely too,but I have also in the past when R&R was the policy encountered some very nasty cs staff, I remember one in particular when she had to give me a refund on a dvd boxset, she then took the dvds and just ripped the cellophene wrapper off them  out of spite, and i am always nice and polite with them. Its just the luck of the draw, some are nice, some are not,and you will find this out eventually, you will come across a nasty cs person, no matter how nice you are to them, it is just probability.

If there is one piece of advice i can give to folks doing the DTD thing it would be try and keep a low profile in your local tesco, the one that you use on a regular basis, as you dont really want to get your face known, much better to go a little further a field

Just been out on an early morning pan hunt without success, but I did console myself with another box of megabloks for the church fair. Bit of a batttle at CS who said they would only refund £15 as there was no SEL for £30. I just reminded them that the policy on the blue board said shelf or product and after a phone call by CS to the manager a full refund was given. This is the same store I 'bought' megabloks at a few weeks ago.
