I ventured further afield today. I got 2 of the James Martin Denby sets and 2 Sabatier Knife blocks with Knives.

So do I win the prize for today's highest DTD OF £342.00.
    HTH

I would say that's a pretty good contender for 1st prize! Maybe this should be the newest cottage industry - who can get the highest DTD.

I've a funny feeling I saw those knives somewhere but much like the Gordon Ramsey dinner sets, for the life of me I can't think which store as I've frequented all my usual stores in the last few days.

Between a handful of us, I reckon Ts lost around £1000 worth in DTD today. Compound that with the number of people who haven't posted or only got a small amount and then add on the number of DTDs for lurkers and maybe some innocent shoppers who were genuinely conned and were actually offered DTD. Surely it would make more sense to employ PI staff. Actually, scratch that as I still need some bits'n'pieces for the next house :rotfl:

Has Tesco changed the policy on DTD as l bought 5 king prawn in Tesco-Bow on the A12 and was overcharged by twice the amount ,£6 instead of £3 .When l went to customer servvice ;they refused to give DTD as, l went through self service ?? but did give back £15 ,but DTD would have been £30 ?

Another excuse for not giving it. Their policy is clear - if you are overcharged they will give you DTD. No matter how many managers/CS staff have lied to me, I have never failed to get my DTD one way or another. I've been told SS tills don't apply, more than one item doesn't apply, out of date SELs don't apply and been questioned as to why I didn't notice the total was high.

I'm pretty sure they wont refund the other £15 tomorrow as its a perisable product ,Do you guys think l'm likey to get the other £15 if l get in touch with head office ?,l could have been more stringent woth them but have felt bad from upsetting myself even though l was right on previous occasions ??
Otherwise I'll just go up for a refund tonight

the only issue with self service is if you have a reduced dticker that doesnt go through correctly as you (as I did) could have scanned the original bar code incorrectly). I'd stand my ground on that one
