2,When i click on an item to open the page it takes an age to open it even though its a new PC with 4gig of RAM and a huge HDD. that is from day one so no viruses checked that one.
In addition, new PCs these days come with a lot of bloatware, dell and hp are really bad for this, and it slows down the computer a lot dispite being 'new'. Technically minded people will recommend a clean install of windows (which is difficult if you dont have the retail/oem disks)
but its worth uninstalling all the useless programs that were pre-installed on your system.
unless you've built the thing yourself (or got a specalist to do it) then you probably have other problems...0 -

and Acid3
Very interesting:
Most browers don't seem to work properly surprisingly frequently: IE arguably one of the worst, to varying degrees for most versions...
Cheers!

Just installed Win 7 and has IE8 so here are my views on it (was on Chrome since it's release)
1) Normal same here, as suggested easier to read
2) Other reason perhaps
3) Remembered me here ??
It is new so try to live with it for a few days first..0 -
What Virus and Spyware software do you have installed? Do you have any kind of link checking enabled on both, because I've not experienced any delay in opening pages at all.
I have Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and SUPERAntiSpyware and I have just uninstalled AVG but installed Avira. Hmm Link Checking That sounds worrying.
What Privacy setting are you using in Internet Options, and you're not browing InPrivate mode are you?
Privacy settings!! That sounds like i should be worried.
anewhope Is it possible you can give me some private lessons in Link Checking and privacy settings how to browse not in Private mode. The solving of a problem lies in finding the solvers.0 -

Use the 32 bit AVG removal tool (Simply uninstalling leaves bits behind/running)
