I hope the bad weather goes away soon for you.The ice is the worst bit!!!!...I'm so hoping that ours is better tomorrow..we've had rain and loads of snow gone but what's left if it freezes will be lethal.
  • Yes, it was ridiculously slippy here this morning - and the car thermometer told me it was -8 nwhen I first got into it this morning!

Happy camper here this evening as I got home to find a cheque for £160 from Diamond for the insurance excess from the claim that was settled! :j I was so pleased I gave the cheque a hug! MrEH rang this afternoon to say that he had got the bonus from work too so a god chunk of that will be heading to the challenge fund shortly, AND he got the £50 M&S giftcard he was hoping for too so we'll be able to have a nice tasty dinner on them off the back of that! :D

you've had a great day EH haven't you.
the cd which i thought i'd been conned over has finally turned up so that's a sigh of relief, can get the last pressy wrapped and i can forget about everything
OH got paid today, so we/i have done his accounts for him till the end of Jan. for the second month in a row i didn't need his contribution to keep my side of the accounts out of the red (must be forgetting something) so it's going into my loan savings account.
I get paid tomorrow, so i've updated my accounts for Jan and changed my signature, still a couple of hundred squids short for getting under 20k but i guess it will have to wait another month.
  • Well done LT - and don't fret about that 20k barrier - you WILL get there!

Yes, my day today was quite good - I was already feeling quite upbeat when I got home as I'd had a good day at work, finished all my month end stuff with time to spare (unlikely my slightly dozy colleague who for about the fourth month on the bounce managed to forget to do several vital bits - sadly he must have forgotten while he was faffing about doing everything but what he should have been, that it was our Area Manager he was going to have to 'fess up to not having done it as Manager was off today - AM was NOT impressed and considering he is already keeping an eye on SDC's work....!) Anyway - the trade off for me was that AM said I could pack up and go home 40 minutes early so I wasn't complaining!

Glad your CD turned up in the end - I'm still missing a book from Bangzo from a few weeks back - I've emailed them but not getting much response now. I know it's only £2.65 but it doesn't stop it being infuriating!

  • 40 mins early is a bonus in this weather..am glad about that but not about the hassle at work for you.

There are loads of parcels apparently stuck in depots because of the snow.I read that in one of the internet papers today.

LOL - it's not my hassle - I just get to sit and feel smug while he c*cks up yet again!!! :D Hopefully we should get out at lunchtime tomorrow - technically we're there until 5.30pm but that's never happened yet!

    Hi EH,

Congratulations on getting out early. I never made it in to get out (if that makes sense)! I hope you have a marvelous Christmas and 2010 is happy and prosperous.
