I suspect the way Ryanair are going they WILL get investigated actually. The thing is, so many of the charges they now add you have no option but to pay, for example the online check in fee.....which means effectively it's an extra cost to the fare rather than being a fee for a service you have opted to take....likelihood is that it won't be that long before they are challenged on the basis of not being upfront about the true cost of their fares. Can't come soon enough can it!!
Had lasagne for tea tonight and made extra cheese sauce so I have cooked the end of a cauliflower which has been lurking in the fridge for rather longer than was good for it and done cauliflower cheese to go with dinner tomorrow night.
Mum and I are going to a christmas shopping evening at one of our local Boots stores on Wednesday evening so I need to make a list of what I want to get. Apparently there is a 1200 advantage point bonus when you spend £50 so I shall be aiming to do that....not as bad as it sounds though as I have £30 in vouchers (Survey sites and £10 won in a raffle) plus a £5 no. 7 voucher....I checked out some of the special offers when I was in on Friday so I kbnow what I want to aim for! If I can come out with a few christmas presents and do a bit of stocking up for myself as well I'll be pretty pleased.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Sounds like you'll be getting bargains in Boots.Hope they have what you want.
I agree about the fees that Ryanair charge and about them breaking the rules.
Halifax had a cardcash account with Electron card..don't know whether it is still open to new people.DH has this account but with them changing a lot of accounts not sure..may be worth phoning them.0 -
Halifax should still offer the Easycash which is their basic bank account (Not credit-scored) and is done by post though which is a bit of a faff.
I think this comes with Electron but check with your local branch.0 -

Thanks for this - I had forgotten about their Xmas shopping event & was planning on going tomorrow lunchtime. Just found my 1200 points thing, plus £5 No.7 & double points & 150 points coupons :j. Off to check website & look for pressies :TA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Well the Boots thing worked quite well - my total spend was £56 something, which dropped to £21 to pay when all the vouchers etc were used. I got a few deals in there too - a 3 for 2 on the christmas present range, a buy one get second half price on lady-products, and 3 for 2 on the high strength vit C tablets I use - those also came with a free tube of boots own energy boosting effervescent tablets - not tried them before but might be worth a go and as I got three tubes free am going to pass one on to my boss who has a silly commute daily and currently relies on energy drinks etc, they HAVE to be better for him that those, surely?! The till accepted the extra 150 points on a spend over £20 AND the double spend one too which was quite good, but apparently you don't get "normal" points on your £50 spend, only the 1200 extra ones from the offer. Anyway, I got 1550 extra points, plus another No.7/R&M voucher which I promptly went and bought a pack of cleansing sponges with - £5.50 down to 50p with the voucher.
I'm going to put together a "treats" bag for a friend for christmas so managed to get some bits for that in my haul, plus some stuff for MrEH's "Years supply of...." christmas box. All in all fairly pleased with the result anyway.
The Cowboy contractors should be doing the painting work on our balcony tomorrow so we have removed the "This is private property - you may not enter" sign from the window and cleared round the areas they need to paint. They have been instructed that as professional painters use dustsheets they should not either need us to clear "everything" from the balcony as was originally demanded or indeed cover the whole lot with paint splashes - we will see. We have a suspicion that our formal complaint about them may have now reached the right people though as suddenly the attitude to us has changed....!
OH should have been paid today I hope so I need to get onto the banking tomorrow night or over the weekend and sort things out - I'm going to rejig the way the savings work too as at the moment the joint savings mostly feed in directly from my account rather than from the joint account, which has the net result of leaving me feel that I don't have any savings of my own in spite of the fact that I save every spare penny I can! Last year I felt guilty taking money from savings for things like my speedway season ticket so that's got to be put right I think.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

I too am impressed as my Boots wouldn't accept the double points or 150 points . Well done on your haul :T. My points took me to just over £100 so I treated myself to a big bottle of my favourite perfume.

Considering both vouchers said they weren't valid for storewide points events I was a bit surprised but asked the really nice girl on the till if they would get accepted and she said yes!
