Slip of finger grumbler, I meant the bonus still applies. What I HOPE it means is they are removing the bonus for new accounts from now on, so the base rate is 4.25%, with the guarnateed bonus I will still be at 5.15%
    Any official confirmation phoodless?

So the 0.7% guaranteed bonus has increased to a 0.9% bonus for those already in the account?
isasmurf, Online Saver Issue 2 bonus was always 0.9%. It is their ISA Direct Issue 2 bonus that is 0.7%. I understand, it is very easy to get mad  with all this A&L's b***** bonuses and issues :D

I have just called them on their geographic number (0113 220 1505)and got them to look at my account and was told it was still at 5.15%..so it must just be new accounts.

yes, Ive got thousands of their money in mine, I would be upset if they'd reduced the interest they are paying me on it

Ah, got my bonuses mixed up. I would've known if I had these accounts!
    I'm not mad... just confused...

Right, let's try to clear this up on A&L's Online Saver Issue 2 :
For accounts opened prior to 9th January 2006, are paid 5.15% Gross (variable) until the end of June, then 4.25% Gross (variable)
For accounts opened between 9th January and 12th March, are paid 5.15% gross (variable) until end of March 2007.
For accounts opened from 13th March, are paid 4.25% Gross (variable)

    Correct?

Edit: Scribbled all the above out because it's wrong!
Edit again: unscribbled out because according to a poster further down it is right! I give up !

Up until yesterday The Online Saver Issue 2 had a standard APR of 4.25% with an added bonus of 0.9% which originally was valid til 30/06/06, but in January (I think) was extended to 31/03/07. The extended rate applied to current and new accounts.

The new rate change effective today will apply to accounts opened from today only. All current holders will continue to receive 5.15% until 31/03/07.

I think this is incorrect interpetation. Only 0.9% bonus is fixed. The base rate 4.25% is variable.

I think your right and I've misread the previous rates page on their site. I misinterpreted "Rates effective" as "accounts opened".

I'm not having a good night tonight!
