If asked, I always say peace and quiet! Enough time for a soak in the bath without being interrupted or having various ducks and things to share it with.
However, the best presents are the ones that come from their hearts and bring a lump to your throat.
My favorites:
1: nursery(age 4). They drew a picture of me which nursery staff made into a card and they made an attempt at writing their name inside. This came with a little pot which contained a small piece of oasis into which the children pushed their selection of various flower buds, greenery and ribbons.
2: School (age 7): A poem entitled "My Mum..." - it was a list containing such lines as "Hug giver, story reader, goodnight kisser, cake baker, tear wiper" etc and was beautifully presented. As the lines came from my daughter and weren't fed from the teacher, it made me realise that she did not take me for granted.7 Angel Bears for LovingHands Autumn Challenge. 10 KYSTGYSES. 3 and 3/4 (ran out of wool) small blanket/large square, 2 premie blankets, 2 Angel Claire Bodywarmers0 -

Jewellery with free extras
Buy it
Range of prices
Just thought I would let people know about a jewellery site that I used last year for my mothers day gift, which turned out to be a real find, with lots of free extras.
I wanted an unusual jewellery gift, but my mum lives over the other side of the country, so usualy I am buying a present, gift box, wrapping papaer, a card and then posting it all - which costs an arm and a leg.
Last year I bought a fantatstic jewellery set from this site https://www.raucousrocks.com they gift boxed it for free (it turned out to be a really expensive looking gift box) Then included a free gift card, which I had my own personal message put on, and then delivered it all directly to her - again free of charge, so I ended up spending my money on a nice piece of jewllery - rather than all the extras like postage and packaging that I normaly do!
Also last year they had an offer on where if it was your 1st order you could get a further 15% off, not sure if they are still doing that - but I will be having a look this year again anyway!

I think this is a good idea for children still at home.
Name of present - Mother's Day scroll
Do you make it or buy it - Make it
Total Cost - 1 nice piece of paper, ink and a ribbon or thread to tie it.
Details - You make a scroll, written out in calligraphy or just your best handwriting, making a promise to your mum that you will regularly take on a household chore.
I did this when I was about 13 and it said:-
'I, my name, promise to do the washing up every Monday night from now on.
You roll it up, tie it with the ribbon and present it to your mum. Then you just have to remember to do as you promised
