thanks all. My baskets are those cone shaped ones so a little more roomy than some.
Peas and runner beans sound like a great idea. I have some mangetout so I presume I could use these??
I would like something that trail so that I didn't have to get a ladder out all the time to tend to it or harvest.

My father grew carrots in his last year. Worked fine for baby ones. Also stops cats from cr%!ing in them (seeing as we had three, it was a likely occurance which had blighted us before...)Tim0

Try radish, swiss chard, round carrots. Most herbs can be grown in baskets. Mixed salad leaves work well.:hello: N:hello:A :hello:N :hello:A :hello:M :hello:A :hello:G :hello:S :hello:0
