Internet explorer 8

Hi can somebody help me please:

I have updated to internet explorer 8 and thought I had done it right as some of my icons have changedt but when I turn the computer on everyday it asks me to install it again .... what I have done wrong.

I have tried 3 times but always end up with it asking me to download it again ???

    Runing here ok came with Win 7 new install.

    IE8 causes loads of problems for certain computers. Id suggest reverting back to IE7 (Or use firefox or chrome)

    Agreed. It's messing about with the XP Operating System. I've seen a couple which are not booting after restart.

    Ive had IE8 installed but it makes text too small for me to read on websites, anyone know how to fix it ?

    I tried the zoom but that makes pictures look blurred, ive gone back to IE7 for the moment.

    Maybe you have to use the comparability mode thing
