Don't throw your good money away by buying a Mac. They're over hyped and over priced and will probably leave a bitter taste in your mouth when you wonder why you spent £1500 on a Mac, when a PC can do a better a job at half the price.

Really, a bitter taste, or a bitter poster? I have one large client, training design, video and education, with a suite of Macs, and they love them.

How can a PC do a better job exactly. They can do comparable jobs (though I'd argue imaging and video are king on a Mac, development and technical king on a PC), but neither is lacking in any massive degree – mis-information if you ask me...

There is a place for both. You could get a good iMac for under £1000 and remember that's including the screen too... And remember you can get a good education discount if you are edu/charity to save more, high ed, even more again...

Bitter taste and a bitter poster - Apple are well known for over pricing their products.

The fact is, Windows machines are far more common than Macs because more people support their software. People support their software because it easy to use, usually fairly cheap (or free) and they know they can just put a file on a USB stick and it'll work on all 99% of their friends computers.
