Contract penalties

I`m with Supanet broadband, & they have just increased my payment from £9.99 to £17.99 per month with 2 months left on a 18 month contract. Surely they have to stick to the £9.99 for the 18 month contract? I`d like some advice before phoning them. TIA. Dekan

What does your contract say? If you can terminate your contract if changes are detriment (i.e. cost you more money), then you should be ok.
Read your contract as that should guide you on what option you have.0 -
as discussed elsewhere on here, you have a certain time frame to say you do not agree with the changes, usually 2 weeks after you were notified - if they do not hear back from you, they assume that you agreed to the new terms.... service providers change their terms frequently, and that option is there in place to let you go0

Its not so bad, yes they shouldn't just be able to double the price like that, but at least you should consider yourself lucky you only have to put up with it for 2 payments before you can ditch them if you are unhappy with the service.0
