  • Hi all

Well amazingly I managed to come in just under budget for April - was first time I'd tried it and really happy that I did, must have saved ££s now I have abandoned my previous wasteful ways! (need to update sig - I didnt do that well!)

Could you please put me down for £250 again for May.

Got a feeling its going to be harder this month but here goes!!

    Good luck

Happily posting a NSD for today, and to report that I tried one of the cookie recipes on the front of this thread and they are gorgeous :) Big shop tomorrow and I've already done my list, but I'll be buying some stuff for the hen party which won't come from this budget. I must remember to separate the two for my totals...

    Hi all
Did my *final* big shop for the month at Morrisons today and spent £33.40-quite a lot but it should do me till the end of May.
A few deals sneaked into the trolley even though they weren't on the list-
    Food Doctor pittas 0.49p!
Garlic Tortillas 0.79p (we are mad for the tortillas in this house lately)
    Petit Filous (4 pk) £1

Randomly got a "Well done" from a older gentleman at the freezer section because I had a shopping list-he was saying how he really needs one because he always forgets stuff.

Also deliberately went to Superdrug to get a deal on loo roll which I think is the best I've seen in all the many shops I have visited this month- Triple Velvet 9 pack -£2.99!

Feel confident of making it to payday under budget as in theory I should only need to buy bread and milk, and the freezer and cupboards are bursting!

Hope everyone else is managing to stay on track :hello:

Just came on to update my signature.

Did my first may shop today, went to Sainsbugs and Home Bargains in town, as the corner shop is so expensive.

    Bananas (reduced) 49p
Iced Buns 40p (DS1 picked them) (reduced)
    Mixed grapes £1.29 (reduced)
French Roule (treat for OH)89p (reduced)
    Mozzarella x 2 49p (reduced)
    Beansprouts 39p (reduced)
    Romaine hearts lettuece (2pack) 69p(reduced)
    Semi-skimmed milk 2L 2 for £2

Bevelini sundried tomatoes in oil 79p
Brockhurst 8 large sausages in brine 85p

So spent £8.77 but don't need to buy anything else for next week, unless OH raids the sandwich meat again.
Will freeze some of the beansprouts and cheese for later in the month for HM pizzas.

Made HM fishcakes today courtesy of the recipes from the the front page and were lush, even OH liked them and he hates fish with a vengeance.
So made loads had 8 leftover so froze them for another day.

Been horrible weather today so didn't go over the lotty so may go over tomorrow. Bye for now.

Godd Morning I am very impressed I had a NSD yesterday (first in about 3 months) and I should have one today too as I have planned to stay in all day and we don't need anything.

    Have a nice day everyone.
