I am wanting a basic colour printer for printing out mainly coupons that I can get cheap compatable ink for. I have a lexmark all in one that is expensive for ink so want a small if possible one just for coupons. It would also be ideal if I could get the ink at Tescos!
Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

Take a look at what is on offer in your local supermarket then check how cheaply you can get the ink. When you find something to suit buy it.
I bought an Epson SX200 all in one from Tesco for £40 just after Christmas. I thought the compatible ink in Tesco at ~ $4 per cartridge was good value but I just bought 4 black carts for it on eBay for £8 delivered. The seller had tens of thousands of sales and very unusually 100% feedback - something most power sellers can't achieve so I don't forsee any problem with the ink which I haven't actually tried yet.
I've tried re-inking in the past - never again - I'm too clumsy.0 -
If you're looking at an inkjet printer I would look for a cheap Epson, you should be able to buy compatible cartridges for less than £10 a set.
If you are mainly printing out text why not consider a cheap mono laser printer. If you shop round you should be able to pick one up for less than £50.0 -
Generally the cost of the printer is inversley proportional to the cost of the ink.
Kodak printers are cheaper to run if using original cartridges and they're atually pretty good0 -
Also, always set your printing to draft quality unless you are actually printing a photograph you want to keep.Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0

Another vote for epson, I had a R200 and got cheap cartridges and then started using a CISS (even cheaper if printing alot). That eventually died from the sheer amount of printing (and a full waste tank).
I have replaced that with an R265 (which I got for £20 new) and just went straight to a CISS this time.
I recent got this Cheap printer at PC world for my future mother in law, for the price its a great printer and costs very little to refill.Have my first business premises (+4th business) 01/11/2017

I have seen these adverts, they do offer good value in the genuine cartridge stakes, but I would just buy an epson and use compatibles at £1-£2 each.Have my first business premises (+4th business) 01/11/2017

well the epson sx200 is currently £48.93 direct from epson,
compared to everywhere else i've look it normally around £60+ for compatible ink cartridges i can recommend inkpower who are on ebay, the cartridges are usually filled to 18.3ml instead of epsons 8ml, are you get 12 for £14.99 incl p&p
currently tesco direct have it for 49.99,0 -

Not very cheap when you manage to squirt the stuff all up the walls, floor and curtains. Never again, unless I take them outside to fill. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0
