Tigz, was it your gross or net pay that was up?
The tax & NIC allowances changed on 6th April, so that could account for some of it

Net pay... my wage slip shows 108.14R for pension. I did also have a small pay rise but not enough to make £118 extra!!
Just paid the £102.91 on my old CT so I now owe them £103.89."Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could only do a little." Edmund Burke

Ok... am thinking that if I can clear all my smaller bills by Sept then I can just tackle the 3 big ones. So that means I have a total of £475.51 to clear by end of Aug which is 4 months = £118.88 per month.
These ones....
NPower= £194.68
Old CT from last house = £206.80 now £103.89
Catalogue = £86.94
EON = £104 (os bill from last house) now £90
So now I need to work out how to find this money.... I don't have anything really I can ebay, I got rid of a lot of stuff quickly when I moved to the flat, didn't have time to ebay etc so a lot got dumped
. I don't have many books/CD's to sell and I don't understand MB, but am hoping one day BB may help me there.....
So I guess this is going to come from being very thrifty with my money, meal planning, not spending unless I have to and anything else I can think of.
I wonder if there are any no spend offers on Quidco... ?"Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could only do a little." Edmund Burke

Just to prove I'm trying my hardest I've applied to recycle my old phone, I went through Quidco to get £5 cashback and I should hopefully get £39 back. Fingers crossed."Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could only do a little." Edmund Burke

10p on the scratchcard this morning

Today I must sort my money out and pay some bills.
Time for a list.
* Phone council re rent arrears letter
* Start filling out tax credits letter
* Find some things to list on ebay
* Mop the kitchen & bathroom floors
* Ironing
* Work out a meal plan and a shopping list/budget
Think that will do for now.
Oh I'm getting my eyebrows waxed this afternoon, that's my one treat for myself, I don't buy clothes or beauty stuff for myself....."Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could only do a little." Edmund Burke

Not much off the list. Have called nursery about the invoice and I'll get two lots of credits in June, plus 2 bank holiday credits so a really low bill then
Am trying to work out to get a tin of baked beans today without spending any money..... any ideas??"Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could only do a little." Edmund Burke

Loving the choccy biccies excuse :rotfl: but yeah we def need to pref without monsters around disturbing us (and eating the choccy biccies!!)
Maybe I could pop down one eve? How long did it take to get back to yours the other day?
Had my eyebrows done, so I'm all aero-dynamic now. Bought nappies from Aldi and also a tin of baked beans so all good BUT I spent £10.50 on a haircut for DD, I'd promised her next time we went she could have her hair cut, they have one of those kids salons with DVD players etc. She's never had her hair cut apart from me doing it. Anyway, we walked past and she remembered, I tried explaining Mummy is on a mission etc but her little face fell and being the soppy mare that I am..... I gave in. Have to say she looks lovely and she was so happy. Needless to say it won't be a regular event

Argh.... more expense! Last night my laptop charger cable starting making a funny smell and when we looked at it, there were sparks coming out of the wire !!! So I've ordered another one, found a replacement version for £12.95 incl postage, the proper ones were £32.
Hoping for a NSD today, taking my car to Renault today as it's got a recall on it and this afty DD and I are meeting some friends at Paultons Park (season ticket) DD is having tea round her friends house so just me to worry about.
There isn't anything I *need* today."Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could only do a little." Edmund Burke
