Have they paid for the sofa? Who went in the shed? If it was one of the 'purchasers' - and they had not paid for the sofa then think Police should be interested - fits definition of burglary - going into building without permission and intent to steal. If it was purely trespass then this is not a criminal offence. Worth telling local Officer though if purchasers are local.

Thanks, they had not paid for the sofa, I have no proof they went into the shed other than the kids in the street saying they saw a bike in the shed........

As for comming round the back of the house they would just say they were knocking on the door etc.

    Cheers

if you let us all know we can block them from bidding again, and that would hopefully put them off ebay a little.I understand your ebay user name will be on thier page, but why is that a deal? You have done nothing wrong so we wont block you!

they also let it slip that they run a haulage company....i have checked them out on the net and they are both directors of this company.....paints a rather interesting picture. So i know who they are, thier company detials and home addreses

The lady also claimed to be a social worker and she was buying furniture for people setting up houses on thier own after living in care homes....how can this be after the manor in which they portrayed themselves

Just sound like idiots to me. Unfortunately you come accross the odd one when selling online. Just report the whole episode to ebay and hopefully they will remove the negative, though i wouldn't hold my breath.

It's very difficult to get the police involved in these cases after the event, though i would still report it then if they come back you will have records with the police that this is not the first time and they should get a warning to stay away, which should do the trick.

Open an unpaid item dispute, see where it goes from there. If they do not repsond, the neg gets removed.

These are both quotes from Soolin and great examples/reasons of why you shouldn't post any personal details on such a public forum....

****I would also add my own caution to anyone who gives out any personal information on a public board like this, you may get unwelcome attention. These boards are read by thousands of people and anyone that may take offence at any of your posts, comments, jokes etc, or anyone with an odd mind can ruin your ebay auctions easily. I picked up a stalker once he tracked me back through a website and guessed what I was selling by comments I made on an ebay thread and tried to take my user id down by placing silly bids and leaving negative feedback. Luckily I got it resolved, but it was nasty for a while.***

***I woul dnot put the auction number openly on here as it means we have your user id as well, and that is not a good idea. The only reason people can be frank on here is because we are not open to auction wreckers who may now agree with our suggestions, I was targetted once by an ebay stalker and I can assure you it was not pleasant.***

Perhaps they just want their sofa - could this not be arranged at a mutually agreeable time ?

I think the OP has reported them to the police. Maybe the 'Bailiffs' thought the OP was storing it in the shed- it doesn't sound that unusual i.e youve just bought a new suite... Where are you going to put the old one??
