Ive just come to set my dvd recorder for he next weeks tv I wanted to record and channel 4 is totally blank for next Sunday (wanted secret Millionaire)
Not known this before, Its showing channel 4 programmes some nights like tomorrow but odd programmes are missing, same with BBC3.
Ive run a search for new channels in case anything had moved but no new channels detected.
Have no idea why this has happened, the channels are there on our Sky plus in the lounge but not on my freeview tv/dvd recorder?
Hope they appear in the week, or others dont go!!
Anyone know why this has happened?
Thanks Alison

The problem lies with your Electronic Programme Guide (EPG)
Different manufacturers use different guides. The boxes that rely on 4TV to transmit the EPGs have been beset by problems over the last month. The solution has been to wait until the download and then switch the box off for 15 minutes, this seems to solve the problem for most people.
Additionally, people served by the Beacon Hill/Sutton Coldfield transmitter have had problems with BBC3 and EPG downloads since 22nd April.
I would suggest leaving on standby overnight and switch off for 15 minutes in the morning, you should then find that your EPG is correctly populated again.0 -

Thanks, interesting that as think we use the Sutton Coldfield transmitter and could link to about the 22nd. Will leave it on standby and try switching it off one morning - am usually in a right scatty rush in the am so might not manage it til the wekend but hopefully it will work ok after, thanks!
Just checked the epg again and C4 listed for tonight to Fri just missing the weekend slots, BBC3 is back in full but ITV3 is now totally blank! Very weird at the mo!Sealed Pot Challenge number 8 Amount declared £365.50.
