Switching BB from AOL

Okay - complete Non-Techie here.

I want to leave AOL and join Tiscali (Cheapest in my area plus unlimited downloads etc)

So do I simply call AOL and cancel? Do I need to do anything else?

I have a BT line (although billed by Talk Talk and doesn't affect my BB service)

The Tiscali one is a free modem and stuff, so my actual question is - do I just cancel one, re-new with another and just swap over?

I have read on this board about a MAC code (?) and wondered if/why I would need this.

Thanks!

Think again! Whatever problems you may have with AOL, there is no point jumping from the frying pan into the fire. Do some more research - Tiscali definitely does NOT offer unlimited downloads!

    I agree!

Can I ask why you want to leave AOL? I'm on bb with AOL and have been very happy with them so far.

Tiscali get very very bad reviews, and I'll be honest, I did try Toucan (who some say are Tiscali in disguise), but regret doing so! Extremely unprofessional!

Yes Tiscali may be a bit cheaper, but I'd recommend staying with AOL.

i'm with Demon, have been for about 4 months now, now probs at all.

Used to be with AOL for nearly 2 years, no problems their either just got miffed when they introduced chargeable phone numbers for problems.

please dont touch Tiscali. Dont even reccomend them to your worst enemy.
