Best PVR with built-in DVD Recorder

Hi,

I am looking to buy a PVR which has a DVD recorder built in. I have searched around and I am having trouble finding one which has good reviews and at a competitive price.

I have considered a PVR which only a hdd such as the Humax range but I am looking for one with a DVD recorder built in so that I am able to backup anything I want to keep from the hdd to a DVD. This would also be used to play DVD's through the TV and preferably via HDMI.

I know this sounds like a lot to ask for but I am sure there are loads of other people who have been looking for the same thing or even better already found something like this.

I have never heard of one. This webpage compares all the PVRs and none seem to have a built in DVD recorder

It looks as though in the meantime you will need to connect a PVR to a separate DVD recorder. The Inverto, for example, has an archive feature to make such recording very easy.

I think the problem with the current PVR + DVD recorders is that they don't have twin tuners - do a search for 'pvr twin tuner dvd recorder' (sorry can't post a link because I'm a new user).
