glasgow to gatwick

right, im heading south this weekend, flying from glasgow to gatwick on friday to spend the weekend in london.
any hints or tips from you southerners to save a few quid.

whats the best way to get from gatwick to central london. i.e cheapest and easiest.

    The cheapest way from Gatwick to London is with an advance purchase single ticket on Southern trains - £3 or £5.

    They are also cheapest on the day - and only slightly slower than the very much more expensive Gatwick Express.

    Easybus is also cheap - but dumps you in Fulham, not central London

    Yes, Southern Trains is by far the cheapest.

    Service is generally reliable but watch out on a Sunday - If there are going to be delays due to engineering works, this is when it will happen.

    to be honest i would rather poke my eyes with blunt instrument rather than do what we are going to be doing in london. :rotfl:
