T Mobile contract to Orange PAYG

I currently have a T mobile contract (18 months) about to expire. I am thinking of buying myself a PAYG phone, I fancy the Nokia N70 (i know it is quite expensive), and changing to a PAYG at the same time. The Orange PAYG seems to be a good deal with free texts when you top up over £10 amonth and I could possibly take advantage of the land line rates as Martin Lewis has advocated. I just fancy being with out a contract and all that comes with it, I am not a massive mobile user so reckon I could save the money the phone costs over a year or so of not paying a contract.

My questions are:

a. will I be able to transfer my current number? (have had it for over 6 years)
b. Where is the cheapest place to get a Nokia N70 that I can use with an Orange SIM and my current number??

Thanks
