Photo 'Format not supported'..how do I convert?

I want to bluetooth some photos to my phone, that were taken on a digital camera(JPG).
As it is saying the format is not supported, I take it I need convert the files first.

How can I do this and are there any free programs to do it with?

What operating system do you have? If XP, I'd use the windows picture viewer that comes pre-installed and then just save to a different format.

Irfanview is a decent basic free convertor.

It depends on what you are using to bluetooth - most phones should support .JPG files -its worth making sure the file extension is lower case .jpg, not .jpeg.

What are you actually using to bluetooth and where to - what phone.

Also check the size of the photo's you're trying to BT aren't too big for the phone to use.

Thanks.. I had to reduce the size down from 160 to 50% and that worked.
